"Through my time and position here, I have been able to gain hands on knowledge and insight into what this career path holds. In addition, I've been surrounded by such an encouraging and innovative team that has greatly inspired me. Everything Jam City stands for, and the work culture that takes place here, is truly amazing!"
"This has seriously been such an enjoyable, pleasurable, and insightful experience for me. I've loved getting to know everyone and to be able to help with other Jam City initiatives. I have really adored getting to know Jam City as a company and learning what they're doing to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion."
"I thought the remote internship would be a bust, but it has been the most amazing summer. I am learning so much and even though I haven’t met most of the Jam Citizens in person yet, I feel very welcomed in every meeting I am in with them."
"Best. Summer. EVER!"
"The highlight of my internship thus far has been moderating in depth interviews with actual gamers to gain insight into their habits, interests, and unmet needs in the gaming space. I worked directly with one of Jam City’s game teams to come up with a discussion guide for these interviews which made conducting them and analyzing their player feedback a highly rewarding experience."

FAQ

Need some clarification? Here are some of the most common questions asked about our internship opportunities.

What are the requirements for Jam City’s Internship Program?

Our internship program is open to currently enrolled students pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with the U.S. (unless the internship is within our international offices). Students should have a minimum availability of 20 hours per week. While we invite students from all years to apply, we do prefer those either within their junior or senior year. Students must also be based within the country of their internship while working with Jam City.

When during the year does Jam City offer internships?

We offer internships year-round! Our Summer program normally runs from Mid-June to August, our Fall program from Mid-September to December, and Spring program from Early-February to April.

How many hours per week do interns work? How does scheduling work?

For our Fall and Spring programs, students can expect 15-20 hours per week, while our Summer session is closer to 30. In regards to scheduling, interns will work with their managers to review their course schedule and carve out the best blocks for their internship. We do ask students to consider normal business hours when looking over their availability.

What type of work and assignments do Jam City interns work on?

Jam City interns work directly, side by side with our development and corporate teams. You will work on a range of projects that give you exposure to real timelines, deliverables, and products. Each internship is a bit different depending on the department. Feel free to ask for more information during your interview process.

Are their mentorship opportunities as a part of the internship program?

Yes! As an intern at Jam City, you will have a mentor who in partnership with your manager will support you during your internship. The role of your mentor will be to provide you with resources, guidance, and connections to others at Jam City. They will support you throughout the entirety of your internship.

Can I still apply although I am not located in the cities where Jam City has offices?

All applicants must be based within the United States. However, if you are in a different city, we still encourage you to apply as our internship program is entirely remote as of now.

What is the interview process for the internship program?

We like to make it as easy as possible for you to interview with Jam City. Most interviews consist of submitting an application, meeting with a member of our recruiting team, and meeting with a few individuals from the respective team. For our more technical roles (i.e. Data or Engineering) we will also have applicants complete a technical assessment at the beginning of their interview process.
